This critical role is essential to the success of our product development lifecycle. As Program Manager, you will lead and develop a team, manage resources effectively, and ensure the seamless execution of complex, global programs. You will work closely with the Chief Program Engineer (CPE), providing strategic guidance and support while driving cross-functional collaboration and influencing key decisions. This requires a high degree of collaboration, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ **Team Leadership & Management:** Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and driving results. Manage resource allocation to ensure on-time delivery.
+ **Program Execution & Process Excellence:** Champion and improve program processes, ensuring adherence to established cadences (PST, PDL, CPE DF/Change Control, VPP, Capacity/Export/Manuf/Complexity PATs). Lead Program Steering Teams (PSTs), Approval Steering Teams (ASTs), and CPE Design Forums (DFs), making critical decisions in the CPE's absence. Drive launch and quality disciplines.
+ **Strategic Planning & Business Acumen:** Collaborate with the CPE on near-term business and content planning, addressing cycle plans, VLBRs, and strategic issues. Effectively manage business complexity and mitigate risks.
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence:** Build and maintain strong relationships with teams across various departments (beyond Product Development) to ensure seamless program execution and alignment, including driving prototype builds and test planning.
Essential Qualifications:
+ Extensive program management experience with a proven track record of successful program delivery across all phases (planning, studio, control, launch).
+ Minimum of 8 years of program management experience
+ Experience leading and mentoring global teams.
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Highly Desirable Qualifications:
+ Master's degree in Engineering or MBA.
+ Experience in design and release processes within the automotive industry.
+ Deep understanding of Global Product Development Systems (GPDS).
