The Maintenance Supervisor provides leadership to maintenance teams and is an integral part of plant management. They drive shift performance to achieve results consistent with company direction and goals, and work to develop the team members to their full potential. The Supervisor is responsible for safety/housekeeping, product quality, production efficiency, and equipment condition while on shift. The Supervisor also has the responsibility, authority and accountability for job assignments, work priorities, and overtime requirements.
Job Duties:
+ Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
+ Directs and coordinates the day-to-day shift activities, by providing leadership and supervision to direct reports.
+ Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge of production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities.
+ Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays and downtime.
+ Responsible for equipment condition and department housekeeping, to ensure that it is operating at an acceptable level to achieve performance efficiencies and minimize breakdowns
+ Researches, complies and prepares reports, correspondence, and other information required by management, identifies and resolves report discrepancies or errors.
+ Works with employees to maintain a safe work environment.
+ Leads and supports direct reports to work in a safe manner and to seek improvements in work practices.
+ Develop and implement preventative, predictive and strategic maintenance plans and task list, as well as develop, maintain and analyze RCM metrics
+ Develop and analyze BOM’s
+ Coordinate with maintenance planner regarding preventative maintenance scheduling, scheduled maintenance and breakdowns
+ Processes SAP notifications, including work orders, revision updates and TECO
+ Ensures that product quality and production efficiencies meet or exceed established standards.
+ Examines procedures and recommends changes to save time, labor, and other costs and to improve quality control and operating efficiency.
+ Verifies completeness and accuracy of direct reports’ work, computations, and records.
+ Participates in work of direct reports to facilitate productivity or overcome difficult aspects of work.
+ Instructs direct reports in job duties or arranges for training to be provided.
+ Facilitates team meetings, intervenes as necessary to keep the team’s goals and results consistent with company direction, and works with the team members to develop their full potential.
+ Initiates and conducts personnel actions such as discipline, performance evaluations, and payroll.
+ Administer, communicate and interpret work procedures and company policies to direct reports
+ Provides guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving grievances or submits unsettled disputes to management.
+ Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our strategic pillars: Innovation, Culture, Planet and Results.
Job Specifications:
+ Schedule is Monday through Friday with the flexibility of working some weekends and off hours
+ On-call maintenance rotation
+ Experience with SAP preferred
+ Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or related field preferred but not required
+ 3-5 years supervisory experience
+ 3-5 years manufacturing experience
+ Dynamic, flexible team player with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
+ Good Interpersonal skills and ability to influence people.
+ Proficient with Word, Excel, and other software applications as required for the business.
+ Strong organizational skills.
+ Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and knowledge machine repair and preventative maintenance.
+ Good organization/project management skills.
+ Excellent written and oral communications skills.
+ Experience working in a union environment preferred but not required
Pay Range:** **$71,250.00** - **$95,000.00
