What’s the job?
The Production Supervisor supervises the daily activities of production personnel and provides key leadership to safety, quality, housekeeping and cost reduction while promoting positive employee relations within the production team. Supervisor is held accountable to ensure production activities are carried out in compliance with all environmental, health, and safety requirements, policies, and procedures and is a key driver of Saint-Gobain’s Trust, Empowerment and Collaboration initiative.

+ Exercises good judgment in the utilization of manpower, work in progress and operational adjustments. Directly monitors the production processes and production quality to ensure compliance to established company standards.
+ Communicates & documents employee expectations and assess employee performance. Provides coaching and development opportunities, and administer disciplinary action if needed.
+ Oversees the training of production employees to ensure they receive adequate training prior to operating any of the manufacturing equipment and that they follow the standard operating procedures and work instructions.
+ Leads the shift safety meetings and training sessions that have been developed by the training department.-
+ Work closely with the Production Planner to ensure compliance to production schedules and production changes.
+ Enters production, efficiency and waste data into digital tracking platforms.
+ Investigate EH&S incidents – Injuries, Near Misses, First Aid, Environmental and Property/Equipment Damage.
+ Minimal travel required.
+ May be required to work various shifts and weekends.
What are the requirements?
+ 4 - year degree preferred (equivalent experience may be considered)
+ 3+ years of Supervisory experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
+ Proficient in use of MS Office (familiarity with Kronos and SAP a plus)
+ General understanding of ISO methodology
+ Thorough knowledge of OSHA and regulatory requirements.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S & Six Sigma

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $70,000 to $108,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 8% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $76,300 to $117,720.
