    **Work with a purpose!** Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the **Imperial Regional Detention Facility in Calexico, California.** We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping non-citizens gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release.

    **What you'll do:** Detention Officers are responsible for the custody and discipline of non-citizens assigned to the unit.

    Essential Functions:

    + Search for contraband and provide security.

    + Count, feed and supervise detainees in housing, work, and other areas.

    + Perform specific security functions including ‘pat’ and ‘strip’ searches, by squatting and bending to perform such functions.

    + Transfer and transport detainees by walking, driving, or riding in vehicles.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    + High school diploma or equivalent required.

    + STC and 832 certifications preferred.

    + Prior corrections experience is preferred.

    + Must be at least 21 years of age.

    + Valid driver’s license in the state of California with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
