    Job Summary

    The primary purpose of the Central Patch Management Group (CPMG) Supervisor is to oversee and coordinate the patch management of assets within the NERC CIP program as well the other relevant assets within the PSEG OT (Opera ng Technology) Infrastructure by overseeing a team of analysts and SMEs to ensure the company's compliance and regulatory obliga ons are met. The CPMG Supervisor will oversee the patch management processes to ensure that software and systems are regularly updated to protect against vulnerabilities by ensuring the necessary policies are developed and adhered to, and that training and awareness are socialized to all relevant parties while also ensuring monitoring and reporting are in place to track patch deployment status, generate reports and analyze metrics. Overall, the supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization's regulatory and cybersecurity posture and ensuring that systems are up-to-date and secure against threats.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Arrange and attend weekly NERC CIP patch assessment meetings with members and participating SMEs.

    + Manage and maintain a list of all software and firmware subject to the NERC CIP patching requirements, including patch sources and the individual(s) who evaluate the patch sources.

    + Monitor patch sources and “discover” potentially applicable security patches for all software and firmware subject to NERC CIP patching requirements.

    + Manage and maintain a list of all security patch management mitigation plans created when a patch cannot be installed within 35 days.

    + Identify and report on Key Performance Indicators for NERC CIP security patch management.

    + Provide input to and updates on the accountability and responsibility assignment matrix (“RACI”) for NERC CIP security patch management

    + Serve as a point of contact on inquiries from and submissions to regulators including but not limited to FERC, NERC, and RF.

    + Approve changes deploying security patches to the production environment.

    + Lead team of IT associates. Responsible for attracting talent, performance evaluation, career development, coaching and counseling and manage compensation.

    + Develop and manage the preventive maintenance programs for Infrastructure systems including patching, upgrades, tuning and performance management.

    + Work with various SMEs and suppliers to perform reviews and/or Root Cause Analysis on production systems failures, formulate corrective action plans, ensure corrective actions are implemented, and track their effectiveness.

    + Comply with all NERC CIP and regulatory guidelines and standards. Comply with cyber securityrelated and other vulnerabilities as identified by the IT security team. Support all internal and external audit initiatives and remediate identified deficiencies

    Job Specific Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, and 6 or more years of experience in Information Technology, with a minimum of 2 years in an IT Operations role support infrastructure.

    + Without a Bachelor’s degree, at least 10 years of experience in Information Technology, with a minimum 4 years in infrastructure support.

    + Strong understanding of ITSM (ITIL) and overall understanding of Infrastructure components.

    + Demonstrated experience in vendor management in the day to-day activities related to supporting critical systems.

    + Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.

    + Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a geographically dispersed team.

    + Strong communications, consultative and interpersonal skills, including oral, written and presentation; teamwork, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation, with the ability to work effectively with internal clients from various business organizations and lines of business, as well as IT management, peers, staff and vendors.

    + Excellent knowledge of network hardware and software; switching and routing configuration and troubleshooting; firewall configuration and protocols; infrastructure and design, topologies and protocols.

    + Experience with monitoring tools and platforms.

    + Familiarity with NERC CIP and other regulatory compliance programs.
