HEAD MEN’S BASKETBALL COACH/PHYSICAL EDUCATION & WELLNESS INSTRUCTOR, DAPER Intercollegiate Sports, will be responsible for the management and oversight of all facets of the MIT Men’s Basketball program including administration, budget management, alumni stewardship, recruiting, scheduling of competitions, meet management, including hiring officials, team travel, weekly practice sessions, advising of students, and compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations. In addition, this position will include teaching responsibilities and instruction in the required physical education and wellness activities program. Additional responsibilities may include department-wide duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree; three to five years coaching experience, preferably at the college or university level; administrative, interpersonal/communication skills and computer skills; and appropriate certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED, and Biohazards within 30 days of hire. PREFERRED: Master’s degree; degree(s) in Physical Education and Wellness or related fields; experience in teaching physical education and wellness activities; and proven experience in recruiting to a highly selective institution.
