The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Senior Cloud Services Systems Engineer to join our DHS Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) team in support of the United States Coast Guard (USCG). This role focuses on engineering and supporting secure cloud-native infrastructure, platforms, and services. As a senior contributor, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-level solutions in AWS and Azure while ensuring they align with cybersecurity and mission requirements in IL4/IL5 environments.
Responsibilities:
+ Architect, deploy, and maintain secure and resilient cloud services for mission-critical USCG operations.
+ Lead systems engineering tasks associated with design, configuration, and integration of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud services.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and security teams to ensure compliance with NIST 800-53, DoD STIGs, and FedRAMP standards.
+ Build and manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) pipelines using Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates.
+ Develop and enforce configuration baselines and automation for Windows and Linux environments using Ansible, PowerShell, or Python.
+ Perform proactive system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
+ Support patch management, vulnerability remediation, and log ingestion pipelines using tools like AWS Systems Manager, Azure Update Management, and Sentinel.
+ Provide SME-level input on cloud migration strategies and hybrid-cloud integration models.
+ Maintain high availability and disaster recovery architectures for mission systems.
+ Lead efforts in image buildout, hardening, and lifecycle management using EC2 Image Builder, Packer, and Azure Image Builder.
+ Author and maintain system documentation, ATO packages, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance
+ DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+)
+ U.S. Citizenship required
+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
+ 8+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, including:
+ Cloud-native service deployment in AWS and/or Azure
+ Infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM
+ STIG compliance, secure configuration enforcement, and security remediation
+ Troubleshooting enterprise applications and operating systems in cloud environments
+ Hands-on experience with system hardening, patching, and configuration management tools
+ Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), SAML, MFA, and identity federation
_Desired:_
+ Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Administrator Associate, or Google Cloud Professional Engineer
+ CISSP, CCSP, or other security certifications
+ Experience supporting RMF/ATO documentation and federal cybersecurity assessments
+ Strong knowledge of container services (e.g., ECS, EKS, AKS, Docker) and monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor)
+ Experience supporting USCG, DHS, or other federal cloud security programs

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$95,500-$210,100
