Job Summary

Overview:

Morrison Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Director of Food & Nutrition Services to oversee the daily operations of our Foodservice department at White Plains Hospital. This leadership role is integral to ensuring a high-quality patient dining experience, maintaining strong client relationships, managing financial outcomes, and developing a high-performing team. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and proactive leader with a passion for excellence in healthcare foodservice.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Food & Nutrition Services department in alignment with budgetary goals.

+ Ensure superior quality and presentation of all food served to patients, guests, and staff.

+ Direct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, clients, hospital leadership, and other departments.

+ Champion professional growth, engagement, and development of all department team members.

+ Integrate foodservice operations with hospital goals and departmental initiatives.

+ Manage inventory, purchasing, and cost control processes to ensure efficiency and value.

+ Drive operational excellence, patient satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree required (Hospitality, Nutrition, Business, or related field preferred); equivalent experience may be considered.

+ Minimum of 5 years of proven leadership experience in healthcare foodservice.

+ Required experience managing foodservice operations within an acute care hospital setting.

+ 2-4 years of direct operational management experience, including purchasing and inventory control.

+ Strong knowledge of current food trends, quality standards, sanitation practices, and cost control.

+ Experience with P&L accountability and contract-managed services is highly desirable.

+ ServSafe® certification is a plus.

+ Must be a forward-thinking, proactive leader who represents Morrison with professionalism and excellence.
