**Onsite:** This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Grand Blanc, MI on a full-time basis.

The Role

We are seeking a CNC Programmer/ Machinist to transform 3D models or blueprints into finished parts.

What You’ll Do

+ **Program and set up tooling** , perform basic inspections, and finish parts.

+ **Plan machining operations** by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and material specifications.

+ **Program mills** using manual G-Code Programming and CAM systems.

+ **Ensure part specifications** by adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

+ **Maintain equipment** by completing preventive maintenance as specified by the manufacturer’s instructions.

+ **Contribute to organizational goals** by accepting ownership and exploring opportunities to add value to the team.

What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications)

+ **Minimum of 1 year** machining experience on a 4-axis CNC mill.

+ **Extensive CAM software experience** , preferably with Mastercam.

+ **Proficient in 3D surfacing** techniques.

+ **Responsible for selecting tooling speeds and feeds** .

+ **Experience with manual mills and lathes** .

+ **Skilled in 4-axis CNC programming and operation** .

+ **Knowledgeable in GD&T standards** .

+ **Effective interpersonal skills** to collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines and cultures.

+ **Strong organizational skills** to communicate technical data to colleagues and leadership.

+ **Flexible availability** to work day and afternoon shifts as required, including overtime.

+ **High level of analytical thinking** .

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

+ **Proficient in operating and programming** 4-axis CNC machines.

+ **Experience with both horizontal and vertical CNC machines** .

+ **Familiarity with UG and TeamCenter** .

+ **CNC lathe programming and operation experience**

+ **Experience with controllers** such as Fanuc, Haas, Hurco, Fadal, Makino, and Siemens.

+ **Understanding of the dynamic racing environment** .
