Job Description:
The CV Invasive Specialist performs duties necessary for advanced Cardiac, Neuro, and Vascular procedures at a technical and professional level requiring little or no supervision of technical detail. The Specialist performs technical procedures that regularly require independent judgment. The CV Invasive Specialist assumes responsibility and initiative for designated areas and procedures as required.

**Intermountain Health Saint Vincent Hospital** is equipped with 2 Cath Labs, 1 Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, 1 Vascular Suite, and a Hybrid Operating Room, providing a comprehensive environment for advanced cardiovascular interventions. We perform approximately 350 procedures per month, spanning a diverse range of specialties:
+ Cardiac Procedures: Diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, including Impella support.
+ Electrophysiology: Complex arrhythmia ablations (SVT, atrial fibrillation, Aflutter), Farapulse technology, and Watchman device implantation.
+ Structural Heart Interventions: TAVR, Triclip, MitraClip, ASD, and PFO closures.
+ Vascular Procedures: Endovascular, peripheral interventions, EVAR, TAVAR, TEVAR.
Each of our laboratories is outfitted with Philips imaging systems and GE Mac-Lab hemodynamic monitoring systems, complemented by Acist contrast injection devices to optimize precision and efficiency. Our team is highly proficient in using cutting-edge technology, including Pnumbra, Shockwave, Rotablator, Volcano systems, IVUS, Boston Scientific devices, Impella, balloon pumps, and 3D ICE technology.
Beyond our technical expertise, we foster a collaborative and respectful environment that brings together Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, Vascular Surgeons, and Cardiac Surgeons, ensuring interdisciplinary excellence. Our procedures are carried out by highly skilled three-person teams, composed of registered nurses and invasive technologists, with documentation managed via Epic and Mac-Lab systems. Additionally, we employ a balanced approach to sedation, combining RN-led conscious sedation and anesthesia when appropriate.

As a CV Invasive Specialist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:
+ Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular and neuro-interventional procedures. Provides patient care under the supervision of the provider.
+ Assists physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac, vascular, and neuro procedures, acts as scrub assistant, maintaining sterile conditions during clinical procedures. Operates imaging equipment and works in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure images and events.
+ Educates patients and families regarding the procedure and about the expectations of the procedure.
+ Assists in maintaining order and cleanliness of the unit. Maintains appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures.
+ Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives. Identifies potential areas for improvement including processes that could be streamlined or revised to improve patient satisfaction. Identifies potential safety hazards that may create problems for patients and/or staff, and takes appropriate actions
Minimum Qualifications
+ Current Basic Life Support certification, required.
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, required.
+ Current ARRT (with Montana State Radiologic Technologist license) or RCIS, required.

Physical RequirementsOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
