Perform various tasks and analyses of Bio/pharmaceutical ingredients and products; preparing standards and samples for analysis and running a variety of equipment or instrumentation independently; troubleshoot and solve both instrumental and method problems; working efficiently; provide consultation to clients including interpretation of results; leading project/test areas including junior staff members; evaluate current systems and suggest process improvements when appropriate; write complete and detailed investigations independently; support multiple projects simultaneously; demonstrate leadership qualities and provide coverage for management when needed; suggest and implement lab improvements or LEAN initiatives; on-board new instrumentation and equipment; write procedures for new instrument platforms; research new and emerging technologies; evaluate and harmonize approaches between BPT sites; perform independent research; develop training programs to strengthen staff skills; be technical resource for division and other BPT sites; become recognized as an industry expert in at least one discipline; drive innovation at ELLI.

+ Perform routine, non-routine and complex analyses; instrumental analyses; including calibration and troubleshooting/repair of instruments independently
+ Demonstrate the ability to multitask
+ Make technical decisions without consulting management
+ Guide and mentor junior staff to successfully complete projects and grow technical knowledge
+ Do independent research into regulatory trends and technical advances
+ Present research finds at industry conferences
+ Become a member of industry work groups or committees
+ Be a technical resource for internal problems throughout ELLI
+ Provide support for corporate initiatives through BPT network
+ Provide coverage for management when needed
+ Understand and perform calculations as required by test methods
+ Understand and utilize computers for information access, calculations, and report preparation
+ Read and understand analytical procedures (compendial and client supplied) and internal SOP's
+ Champion implementation of new techniques, technologies and instrumentation
+ Provide consultation for clients

Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related degree concentration and a minimum of 20-25 years of laboratory experience, masters degree with a minimum of 20 years of laboratory experience or a Ph.D. with a minimum of 15 years of laboratory experience.
+ Ability to work in the US without immediate or future sponsorship.
+ Ability to research industry standards, provide technical resource to clients and technical laboratory staff.
+ Excellent communication, technical writing, and team skills.

Working schedule will be Full-Time, First Shift, M-F 8am-4pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply. No relocation assistance will be given. This position is NOT remote.
