LOCATION OF POSITION:Monroe One BOCES - 41 O'Connor Road, Fairport NY 14450;Technology Services, 11 Linden Park
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:12 Month Position, Full Time
STARTING DATE:As Soon As Possible
SALARY RANGE:$38.46 - $44.96 per hour
*Actualy Sarary is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
The Information Project Coordinator is responsible for the planning, successful execution, and completion of assigned technology projects implemented by Monroe One BOCES and its component districts. The position requires the ability to drive cross-functional cooperation of resources within Monroe One, teams from affiliate organizations and external sources.
Responsibilities include:
+ Assist districts with technology related purchases & projects including the identification of project scope, selection of vendors, negotiation of vendor contracts and process agreements, assignment of resources, and final project proposal.
+ Review and evaluate project plans, design documents and other documentation.
+ Set schedules, assign resources, and manage deadlines to successfully initiate and accomplish information technology projects.
+ Coordinate the completion of tasks by multiple parties throughout project execution.
+ Delegate and assign project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, abilities, and experience.
+ Oversee the organization and development of appropriate technical and business documentation.
+ Create and track price quotes and maintain price sheet and hardware standards sheet.
+ Act as liaison with vendors for product/pricing updates as well as other organizational needs.
+ Facilitate ordering of technology products and resources aligned to procurement best practices.
+ Complete appropriate inventory procedure for received equipment.
+ Centralize and maintain licensing records.
+ Act as administrator for Asset/Inventory/Purchasing Systems.
+ Coordinate vendor demonstrations and professional learning for technical staff.
+ Work with warehouse on resolving order issues.
+ Work on projects and tasks under supervision of the Assistant RIC Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Civil Service eligibility forInformation Project Coordinator, Technology Services
+ Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in an information technology, computer science or engineering field plus three (3) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in computer programming, computer design, systems development or administration, or network administration, one (1) year of which must have been in information technology project management; OR,
+ Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s degree in an information technology or computer science field plus five (5) years paid full-time, or its part-time equivalent experience as defined in (A) above two (2) years of which must have been in information technology project management; OR,
+ Seven (7) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent professional* experience as defined in (A) above two (2) years of which must have been in information technology project management; OR,
+ An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B) and (C) above.
+ Certification in project management a plus.
+ Knowledge of project management best practices and procedures.
+ Knowledge of current information technology innovations.
+ Knowledge of cyber security best practices, terminology and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
+ Knowledge of terms and components of a technical environment, (i.e., network hardware, software, server applications, etc.)
+ Ability to lead projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Ability to coordinate and organize multiple initiatives simultaneously.
+ Strong business awareness, management, analysis, and critical thinking skills.
+ Ability to negotiate contracts with vendors.
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and strong customer service.
+ Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
