    Timberland: Senior Manager, FP&A

     

    What will you do?

     

    A day in the life of a Sr. Manager, FP&A at Timberland looks a little like this.

     

    The Senior Manager, FP&A will be the Finance leader and business partner for the wholesale channel across the Americas with responsibility across the full P&L. You will support the Directors, FP&A and the leadership teams on Timberland’s strategic direction and key business decisions through responsible financial management of the brand, developing and owning key financial processes such as the strategic plan, the annual budget, and monthly forecasting, as well as the analysis and reporting of monthly operating results. You will ensure your team provides analytical support to cross-functional teams to help drive the company’s operating performance and financial returns. This leader will drive change management through process, systems, and reporting improvements to provide more transparency and visibility into current and future financial results.

     

    Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

     

    + Partner closely with the Director, FP&A and regional leadership teams to build and execute business strategy and direction.

    + Lead the wholesale strategic plan, annual operating plan, monthly forecasting and the brand’s monthly reporting and analysis.

    + Provide variance analysis and determine cause of change. Scope includes the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements for the Americas region.

    + Collaborate with internal business partners in the preparation, implementation, and compliance of management reporting & analysis requirements.

    + Propose and drive enhancements in financial reporting and analysis as well as requisite system requirements. Critically review existing business and financial processes and recommend and drive enhancements with business partners.

    + Accountable for regional execution of in-season forecasting.

    + Lead pricing and costing activities for the AMER region.

    + Work effectively with wide scope of internal stakeholders across all functions.

    + Support growth initiatives by providing analytical decision support on investments and to cross-functional teams.

    + Analyze product cost and margin drivers and work to set clear financial targets in the product development process.

    + Establish control-related standards and procedures within the brand.

    + Provide ad hoc analytical support and perform special projects as needed.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 8+ years of experience and professional achievements.

    The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

    + Bachelor’s degree required (in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business preferred)

    + Ideal candidate will have experience in financial leadership roles; will have manager level experience with proven success overseeing the strategic financial direction of a business unit with advanced business partnering skills.

    + Strategic mindset with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and across a wide range of personalities, backgrounds and skill sets.

    Hiring Range** **:

    $108,000.00 USD - $135,000.00 USD annually

     

    **Incentive Potential** : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
