Overview
Network Engineer:
In support of the Joint Modernization Command and PEO C3N Programs, Bowhead seeks a Network Engineer.
Responsibilities
+ Responsible for designing, reviewing, adjudicating, and documenting the SoS Network architectures.
+ Coordinates, reviews and implements the Lower Tactical Tier (Integrated Tactical Network and Mobile Computing Environment), Upper Tactical Tier (Tactical Network), Mission Partner Environment (MPE) Networks, Enterprise Networks, and any other Networks in support of DoD Experimentation.
+ Coordinates with key stakeholders to capture network requirements to meet information exchange requirements.
+ Supports the design and development of all culminating, major, and minor Experimentation Network Architectures and different Network Design Review meetings.
+ Supports and leads a Tiger Team that troubleshoots complex network issues.
+ Supports multiple organization with the development of data-products, and radio and network loads, information flows, technical and mission threads.
+ Participate in projects involving mid- to large-scale enterprise networks, including planning, configuration, implementation, and support.
+ Install, Operate, & Maintain dynamic and evolving network segments spanning multiple geographically separated locations.
+ Provide technical on-site or remote support for enterprise networking, wireless, and security systems, resolving customer issues through effective troubleshooting and diagnostics based on industry best practices.
+ Support and resolve network upgrades and outages at designated locations.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience may be considered.
+ CCNA and/or CCNP certifications are highly encouraged.
+ Possess a firm knowledge set of LAN/WAN technologies, infrastructure services, and other network related concepts to include but not limited to Routing Protocols, VPN Technologies, and Inline Encryption devices.
+ Possess good project management capabilities to manage multi-tasking network projects and prioritize tasks in an efficient manner.
+ Ability to travel throughout the calendar year
+ Possess intricate knowledge of the C4ISR current and future network systems and applications and understand how to architect, design, develop, and integrate those systems with communications networks and services into a complete functional network.
+ Provide comprehensive network and systems engineering support.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for communication and network systems by continuously reviewing and studying future Army Capability Sets (CS).
+ Provide high level communication to management, and end users through meetings, presentations, and documentation.

+ Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
+ Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
+ Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
Security Clearance Requirements: Must have an active security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
