Join the MercyOne Genesis Family! We are looking to hire a Risk Specialist!

As a Risk Specialist at MercyOne Genesis, you will:

+ Assist with planning, coordinating and implementing systems and processes to mitigate risk, and prevent harm to customers as well as protect ministry assets

+ Investigate adverse events and safety concerns within the organization to improve patient safety based on identified risk

+ Administer the risk management plan/program on a day-to-day basis adverse event review, investigation, and escalation

+ Facilitate Code Events, Apparent Cause Analysis (ACA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to make changes in systems and processes to reduce the probability of such an event in the future

+ Analyze adverse event data for trends

+ Comply with risk management and safety related standards by The Joint Commission (TJC)

+ Conduct educational programs and lead meetings to continuously improve the safety and quality of the care provided to our customers

**Schedule** :

+ 40 hours a week

**General Requirements** :

+ Iowa Registered Nurse

+ More than 3 years' experience in health care setting

**Education** :

+ Bachelor's degree in nursing, health administration or related field required

+ Master's degree preferred
