Responsibilities

Schedules all nursing and related clinical staff in designated patient care units and maintains the Trauma Registry.

Essential Functions:

+ Develops and maintains daily and master staffing plan.

+ Receives and gathers data to forecast and validate staffing needs.

+ Adjust staff coverage in response to changes in patient census, patient acuity and over-staffing of work unit.

+ Keeps unit managers up to date on staffing.

+ Maintains the Trauma Registry.

+ Abstracts data from patient records into registy.

+ Codes diagnosiss.

+ Submits trauma registry data to the state.

Qualifications

License/Certification:

+ Oregon CNA license preferred

+ Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred

+ Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred

+ Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred

Experience:

+ 2 years experience working in acute care hospital setting

+ 1 year general office, clerical or business-related experience

+ 1 year administrative experience

+ Emergency department experience

Education:

+ Some undergraduate level coursework

Pay Range

$21.23 - $29.20 /hour
