Our client, a leader in the industrial sector, is seeking a **Mold Shop Technician** to join their team. As a **Mold Shop Technician** , you will be part of a dedicated team supporting essential operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
• Location: Boston, MA
• Schedule: Monday – Friday | Day Shift | 8-Hour Shifts
• Hours: 40 Hours per Week
• Pay Rate: $50.00/hour
What's the Job?
+ Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance on plastic injection molds.
+ Conduct repairs and refurbishments on molds using precision tools and equipment.
+ Measure mold components using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
+ Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings to restore or improve mold components.
+ Operate overhead cranes to safely handle and position molds during maintenance procedures.
+ Respond to breakdown service calls and troubleshoot mold-related issues within the facility.
What's Needed?
+ Previous experience working in a mold shop is required.
+ Proficiency with measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
+ Hands-on experience with mold refurbishment and preventive maintenance.
+ Familiarity with overhead crane operation and safety procedure
+ Must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
