    Responsibilities

    Supervise the daily activities of assigned staff.

     

    + Create work schedules, coordinate and supervise daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.

    + Train, coach, and evaluate assigned staff on performance expectations. Provide input for hiring and termination procedures.

    + Coordinate patient care with other members of the team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and desired patient outcomes.

    + Ensure that adequate supply levels are maintained and make changes to supply as needed.

    Requirements

    Licensure / Certification / Registration:

    + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

    + Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

    + Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

    + Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy ofPediatrics (AAP) preferred.

    Education:

    + High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

    Additional Preferences

    + Bachelor's in Respiratory Care

    + RRT preferred

    + 5 years of bedside experience in critical care (Level 1 Trauma and Burn)

    + Leadership experience strongly preferred.
