    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HSE Technical Systems Analyst to join the team of an oil and gas client in Houston. This role is responsible for managing technical upgrades across SaaS and on-premises systems, supporting emissions data platforms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.

     

    Key responsibilities include coordinating system changes, gathering business requirements, implementing and validating solutions, and providing technical support. The analyst will work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to deliver enhancements, resolve issues, and maintain emissions tracking platforms. Additional duties involve integrating data systems, ensuring data accuracy, supporting sustainability initiatives, and developing dashboards and reports for internal and regulatory use. Proficiency in SQL, Oracle, and data analysis tools is essential.

     

    Ideal candidates will have experience in technical systems analysis or application support, a strong understanding of SaaS/on-prem architecture, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Experience with emissions or environmental data systems is a plus.

     

    Pay rate: $75-85 per hour

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Bachelors degree in computer science, MIS, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering or related degree with an environmental or safety focus.

     

    7+ years of experience in application support and/or project management within the Oil & Gas industry.

     

    Skilled in end-to-end testing, stakeholder engagement, audit controls, and process documentation.

     

    Familiar with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

     

    Strong proficiency in data analysis using Oracle or SQL databases.

     

    Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, and Tableau.

     

    Proven ability to design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports, particularly those integrating emissions and sustainability data.

     

    Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and APIs for environmental data exchange (preferred).

     

    Knowledge of data middleware technologies including APIs, SFTP, and ETL tools

     

    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
