Job Summary and Qualifications
Job Summary:
HCA Healthcare | Enterprise Emergency Operations Group seeks a dynamic, mission-focused, and analytically driven leader to serve as the inaugural Director of the Risk Information & Intelligence Coordination Center (RIICC). This 24/7 information fusion center will serve as the centralized nerve center for monitoring and analyzing enterprise risks spanning Physical Security, Reputational Protection, Emergency Management, and collaboration with Cyber Security & IT Operations. The Director will lead all aspects of strategy, operations, staffing, and coordination for the RIICC, ensuring the organization has real-time situational awareness and can respond proactively to risk or threats across the U.S., U.K., and India operations.
The Director is responsible for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of public health and medical intelligence to inform executive decision-making, strengthen emergency readiness, and support response and recovery operations. This leader will serve as the strategic advisor across the Enterprise, ensuring leaders have timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence to mitigate risks and enhance operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
+ Establish and operationalize the RIICC’s mission, structure, and governance.
+ Lead the integration of multi-domain risk intelligence into a unified operational model.
+ Serve as the enterprise lead for 24/7 risk awareness, analysis, and response recommendations.
+ Guide intelligence activities that inform readiness postures and Enterprise Emergency Operations Center (EEOC) activations.
Operational Oversight:
+ Oversee the day-to-day operations of the RIICC including 3-shift coverage and global time zone coordination.
+ Ensure monitoring, triage, escalation, and response workflows are efficient, compliant, and actionable.
+ Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all RIICC functions.
+ Provide real-time intelligence support during incidents, disasters, and crisis events.
+ Contribute to after-action reviews and continuous improvement processes.
+ Support threat / risk assessments, scenario planning, and risk communication strategies.
Risk Intelligence & Analysis:
+ Direct the information and intelligence collection, analysis, and reporting activities across physical, reputational, and emergency management risks, and collaborates with cyber security & ITOC teams on information sharing and incident awareness.
+ Oversee the development of, approval of, and distribution of executive and operational briefings, threat advisories, and incident updates to stakeholders.
+ Coordinate with internal and external intelligence partners to ensure best-in-class situational awareness.
+ Translate complex information into actionable insights for executives and incident command structures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
+ Liaise with Corporate Security, IT & Cyber Security, Public Relations, Emergency Management, HR, Clinical Operations, Legal, Risk Management and Executive Leadership.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert and enterprise representative during high-risk incidents.
+ Facilitate executive-level situational briefings and threat response coordination.
+ Serve as a liaison to public health agencies, law enforcement, and intelligence networks.
People Management:
+ Recruit, train, and lead a multidisciplinary team of analysts and watch supervisors.
+ Foster a culture of vigilance, innovation, continuous learning, and mission alignment.
+ Conduct performance reviews, workforce planning, and professional development.
+ Establish training programs and exercises to elevate organizational understanding of risk intelligence and response coordination.
Technology & Tools:
+ Guide selection and implementation of advanced threat intelligence, monitoring, and communication platforms.
+ Ensure data integration from internal systems and third-party feeds into usable dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, Emergency Management, Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Public Administration, or related field.
+ Master’s degree strongly preferred (e.g., MS in Homeland Security, MBA, MPA, MPH, etc.).
Experience:
+ 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in risk intelligence, physical/cyber security, crisis management, or related fields.
+ 5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams or 24/7 operations.
+ Experience in healthcare, large enterprise environments, or international operations is strongly preferred.
Certifications:
+ One or more preferred: CPP (ASIS), CEM (IAEM), CISSP, PMP, or intelligence/community credentials.
+ Willingness and ability to obtain a private-sector national security clearance.
Skills & Competencies:
+ Deep knowledge of threat analysis, risk fusion, and intelligence operations.
+ Strong command of incident management and emergency communication protocols.
+ Proven ability to work across silos and communicate clearly with executives under pressure.
+ Expertise in analytic writing, strategic briefings, and risk communication.
+ Comfortable with secure technologies, dashboards, and risk management platforms.
Work Conditions:
+ Corp. office environment with ability to respond to enterprise events during evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
+ 10% travel (domestic and international) required for program oversight and stakeholder engagement.
