    GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

    Responsible for the management of Ground Robotics projects and programs by leading cross-functional teams and managing/maintaining customer relationships. This position encompasses managing all phases from development to production from concept through completion of Autonomous Vehicle Technologie such as remote and leader-follower automated driving controls, while ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    + Ensure that deliveries meet contract requirements

    + Experience leading cross functional teams in proposal development for existing company contracts

    + Perform short- and long-range program planning to ensure that objectives are met

    + Prepare and distribute program status reports to meet internal and external customer requirements

    + Interface with customers and suppliers as necessary to build an effective program focused on common objectives

    + Conduct formal and informal reviews with customers on assigned programs to meet contract requirements

    + Coordinate with other departments to accomplish all program requirements

    + Keep company management informed of all issues, problems, and accomplishments on assigned programs

    + Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD

    Other Job Functions

    + Work independently

    + Lead, train and mentor junior PMs

    + Other duties may be assigned

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

    + This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Required Experience:

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES PREFERRED:

    + Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with peers, supervisors, and customers.

    + Excellent leadership skills to lead a technical design team and production team in a fast-paced environment

    + Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to guide the performance of the programs team

    + Ability to interface with customers to propose new ideas to ensure the Ground Robotics business continues to grow

    + Ability to effectively manage budgets and to ensure forecasts are achieved

    + Ability to manage development and production schedules and timelines

    + Proficiency in developing clear drawings, instructions, and procedures

    + Advanced presentation and customer interaction skills

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Successful candidate must possess one of the following: BS degree in Program Management, Engineering, and/or PMP certification, with 10 years of related management experience in defense aerospace electronics or 15 years of experience in defense aerospace electronics to include 10 years in a management position

    + Minimum of 8 years of experience in program/project management strongly desired

    + Experience developing and managing budgets strongly desired

    + MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint required, MS Project experience

    + Working knowledge of contract negotiations

    + Working knowledge with defense markets, interfacing with DoD and prime contractor managers strongly desired

    + Experience with technical disciplines to include but not limited to RF design, digital design, software development

    + DoD MIL Standards and Specifications experience

    + AS9100 and ISO9000 experience

    WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    + Office and production environment

    + Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time

    + Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding)

    + Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

    + Ability to travel, foreign and/or domestic 10% of the time in support of customer products
