Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides supportive help to the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy as a pharmacy technician under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist and within the scope of practice as a pharmacy technician established by the department of pharmacy and the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, and other duties as assigned.

What you will do in this role:

+ Maintains & accurately fills the automated dispensing machines. Ensures that a double check of floor stock prior to fill. (No medication variances with improper filling of orders). .

+ Accurately performs routine manufacturing and prepackaging. Maintains accurate and complete records of all manufacturing and prepackaging. Ensures that a pharmacist checks all work.

+ Accurately files orders, floor stock records, billing records, and other medication documentation as requested by supervisor.

+ Performs duties in an organized fashion. Takes initiative to maintain a clean and organized pharmacy.

+ Competent and understands the importance of medication area inspections. Can list 7 responsibilities of a medication area inspection.

+ Performs all responsibilities assigned and any other responsibility assigned by your supervisor.

+ Restocks depleted/used emergency trays/boxes and procedure boxes. Ensures that charges are processed.

+ Must become IV Certified and proven competent to accurately and efficiently staff in IV room within 1 year of hire

What qualifications you will need:

+ Certificate

+ State License Pharmacy Intern, or State Registration Pharmacy Technician
