Job Description
Step into a key leadership role at the **_Long Beach Hilton_** as our next **_Assistant General Manager_** . You'll help guide a high-performing team at one of the area’s top full-service hotels, known for delivering exceptional guest experiences. With 399 stylish guest rooms and more than 30,000 square feet of flexible event space, our hotel is a go-to destination for both major conferences and upscale social gatherings. Perfectly located in downtown Long Beach, we're just steps from the Convention Center, Aquarium of the Pacific, scenic waterfront, and a vibrant mix of restaurants and attractions.
Salary Range: 98k-120k
The **_Long Beach Hilton_** is seeking a dynamic **_Assistant General Manager_** to ensure that guests and associates have an excellent experience at our properties by supporting all facets of the operation and managing the financial performance of the hotel.
The **_Assistant General Manager_** will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
+ Responsible for the property’s operations in the General Manager’sabsence;
+ Manage direct reports by ensuring Associates understand employment practices, recommending employment decisions and corrective action, supporting performance management, and implementing discipline
+ Ensuredaily inventory is managed to maximize all potential Rooms and Food & Beveragerevenue;
+ Participatein the development of short and long-term financial and operational plans for theproperty;
+ AssisttheGeneral Manager with the development of profit and loss statements, budgets, and financialforecasts;
+ Achieveall guest service standards, constantly seeking ways to improve productsand services,as well as increase volumes and profits.
+ Receiveand respond to guest complaints in a timelymanner;
+ Ensurecompliance with all Atrium policies and procedures, as well as all local, state, and federal laws andregulations;
+ Empathizeand engagewith associates to drive hotel culture and embrace Atrium core values: respect, service, inclusion, teamwork, andperseverance;
+ Supportproper preventive maintenance of the physical property, mechanical and IT systems, guest rooms, public space, back of house, and exterior using the processes and systems developed byAtrium;
+ Manageloss prevention and risk management policies, safety standards, and claims reporting.
+ Maintain a security function to protect the assets of the hotel and the personal safety of associates andguests;
+ Continually gaining proficiency in the operation of all departments of thehotel;
+ Support all departments as needed based on businessdemands;
+ Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents,injuries,and unsafe work conditions to management;and
+ Anyother work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
What you will need to be considered for this role:
2+ years of department head experience in the hospitality industry to include Rooms and/or F&B experience
Prior direct supervisory experience
Solid understanding of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
Bachelor’s degree in hotel management, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite
