Billing Specialist Location: Long Beach (possible flex schedule to Upland office location preferred) City Light & Power (CLP) is a company at the forefront of the modern-day electric utility industry. We are a Subcontractor for a major utility provider in Southern California. We are seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team at our Long Beach location. Flexibility to work some time at the Upland location is preferred, but not required. We are seeking a candidate that demonstrates keen attention to detail who can prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The Billing Specialist will process service confirmations via web-based platform (Supplier Portal) for completed contract work, and monitor all key functions related to service confirmation transactions to assure they're accurate and processed in a timely manner. Duties and Responsibilities: * Collect completed packages and unit timesheets from GF and scan documents to Vdrive. * Audit completed packages by confirming all required documents have been received and have been properly completed * Quality review completion photos of construction vs job scope to confirm completion of work * Manage Incompletes * Work with General Foreman and monitor resolution of incompletes * Record information related to incompletes in WOS * File completed packages (banker boxes) and coordinate delivery to main officE. * Confirm all supporting documentation is received from Closeout team to properly submit service confirmations and change orders. * Create and submit service confirmations and change orders via web-based billing platform (Supplier Portal). * Communicate with Field and Closeout Teams via email regarding issues related to billing delays. * Monitor status of service confirmations and change orders, and initiate communications to resolve issues related to returned service confirmations. * Communicate with customer on delays regarding billing review and approval. * Update database records with all pertinent billing information. * Submit completed work package via SharePoint per customer specification * Other duties as assigned. *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Skills and Qualifications: * HS Diploma or equivalent required. * One (1) year of previous billing experience preferred. Utility industry experience a plus. * Ability to type 40+ WPM. * Intermediate proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred. * Excellent attention to detail. * Organizational and digital filing skills. Schedule: Monday - Friday: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm some overtime expected. Work Authorization/Security Clearance: * You must be able to work in the US without sponsorship. * Valid Driver's License required.
