If so, Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) Finance is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with a record of achieving results.
The Rapid and Rural Logistics team covers a portfolio of high-growth businesses with unique fulfillment and operational capabilities such as Sub Same Day (SSD), SSD Direct, and Rural Super Rural (RSR) +. Our Finance teams partner closely with our operations teams to influence the strategic direction of the business, drive operations excellence, and make sound investment and expansion decisions, with the primary goal of continuously improving the customer experience while driving long-term profitability for our portfolio of businesses. We experiment constantly, fail fast, and never stop learning.
This role will own financial consolidation, analysis and month-end close (MEC) reporting of financial performance of the SSD business.
Key job responsibilities
- Financial reporting and consolidation for SSD financial and operational performance
- Manage database tools, reporting mechanisms financial systems and create insightful analysis to drive business improvement
- Coordinate the overall close process partnering with various stakeholders across Finance, Accounting and Business Intelligence Engineering
- Facilitate effective leadership reviews, manage communication with stakeholders and monitor closure of follow-up items
- Creating financial models and plans, interpreting large data sets, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout the company
- Building effective business partnerships and using active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner
- Identifying opportunities to reduce operational costs through data and financial analysis inclusive of proactively resolving defects, benchmarking key performance indicators, and developing new metrics
- Implementing solutions to simplify, improve, automate, standardize and scale processes
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to develop new ideas, creative solutions and demonstrated experience implementing such mechanisms to results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
