Description
Digital advertising is a $500+ billion global industry undergoing transformative changes in media consumption patterns, customer behavior, and privacy regulations. Amazon Advertising Finance seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Ad Tech team in developing innovative advertising solutions across Amazon's ecosystem (e.g. Amazon.com, IMDb, Twitch, Fire TV, and Amazon Music) and tens of thousands of third-party websites and apps.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to quantify market opportunities and potential ROI for new product launches (customer reach, ad spend potential, market sizing)
- Analyze complex supply, demand, and auction/bidding data to deliver actionable insights that drive real-time decision-making and business strategy
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and communicate business health across departments
- Create concise yet comprehensive strategy documents (1-6 pages) that align business objectives with tactical execution plans
- Lead critical components of quarterly business reviews and annual operational planning, including revenue forecasting and resource allocation
- Evaluate and size market opportunities for new product launches through detailed analysis and stakeholder collaboration
- Establish, track, and optimize strategic goals and performance targets across multiple product lines
- Generate actionable insights from petabytes of advertising data using advanced analytics tools
- Drive data-informed decision making through clear communication of complex analyses
- Develop comprehensive strategy documents that influence product roadmap and business strategy
The ideal candidate will combine analytical rigor with strategic thinking to help shape the future of digital advertising in an increasingly complex landscape.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cube engine tools (e.g. TM1, Cognos or Essbase), SQL and Data warehouse
- Experience operating successfully in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, and have the ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
