Job Description:

Under the direction of the Emergency Preparedness Manager, the Emergency Preparedness Partner assists with plans for emergency preparedness for the Essentia Health Fosston, Essentia Health Ada Hospital-Bridges Medical Center, and Essentia Health Holy Trinity campuses. Assists with development, management and annual evaluation of the Emergency Operation Plan. Work involves assisting in coordination of all operational activities and planning for emergency support functions for the Essentia Health hospitals and clinics. Responsible to support meeting regulatory requirements for emergency preparedness. Assesses needs on an ongoing basis and develops an action plan to fulfill defined needs. Organizes, manages, conducts and documents emergency preparedness exercises to support compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinates and implements education for leaders, staff and departments of the Essentia Health System. Will serve as a representative of Essentia in community and regional healthcare coalitions, and co-coordinates emergency response activities with state, county and municipal authorities. Collaborates with emergency preparedness leaders from other facilities within of the Essentia System.

Education Qualifications:

Required Work Experience:

+ Demonstrated experience in emergency preparedness required with healthcare experience strongly preferred.

+ Demonstrated experience in planning and managing projects/programs, including demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative manner with a variety of colleagues.

+ Experience with the presentation of training programs to a diverse audience.

Required Education:

+ Bachelor's degree in related field; Master's degree preferred.

+ Successful completion of FEMA courses 100, 200 and 700.

Onsite Nature:

+ This person will sit in the Fargo, ND area but will support Emergency Preparedness for Ada, MN, Fosston, MN, Graceville, MN and Brainerd, MN
