Description
Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional with a passion for supporting an organization’s most valuable asset—its people? Our client, a respected nonprofit organization committed to driving community impact, is seeking a dedicated HR Coordinator to join their mission-driven team. This role offers the chance to support meaningful initiatives and contribute to creating a positive employee experience within the nonprofit sector.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining accurate employee records, managing HRIS data, and ensuring compliance with HR policies.
+ Assist with full-cycle recruitment: sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, coordinating background checks, and preparing offer letters.
+ Facilitate new hire onboarding by coordinating orientation sessions and ensuring completion of necessary documentation.
+ Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, answering employee inquiries, and partnering with benefits providers to resolve issues.
+ Support employee engagement initiatives such as staff recognition programs, team-building activities, and wellness efforts.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as nonprofit-specific guidelines.
+ Assist in the creation and delivery of HR-related training and development programs.
+ Provide administrative support for performance management processes and tracking.
+ Partner with the HR team to identify areas for process improvement and support HR projects as needed.
Requirements
+ 1–3 years of experience in human resources or administrative support; nonprofit experience is a plus.
+ Knowledge of HR functions, including recruiting, benefits administration, and compliance.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on confidentiality and discretion.
+ Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with platforms such as Workday or ADP is a bonus.
+ Familiarity with nonprofit operations and employment laws is preferred.
+ Collaborative and team-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
