    Michelle Espejo with Robert Half Financial Services is recruiting for a Senior Tax Manager at a Growing Venture Capital Fund. This is a full-time permanent role based in San Francisco with a Hybrid schedule.

In this role, you’ll manage tax work for a variety of startups and growing companies. You’ll work with external advisors, handle tax compliance, and support business growth.     Responsibilities

    + Manage daily tax tasks for management companies, funds, and portfolio startups

    + Coordinate with external tax accountants for timely and accurate filings

    + Review and finalize tax returns, K-1s, and state filings

    + Handle investor tax questions and maintain partner info

    + Support tax structuring and transaction research

    + Ensure startups stay compliant during early and growth stages

    + Manage informational returns (e.g., 1099s), tax notices, and deadlines

    + Keep up with tax laws and improve processes

    Requirements

    + 7+ years of tax experience, ideally in asset management/partnership and corporate tax

    + Experience with startups and investment entities is a plus

    + Knowledge of California and Florida tax rules is helpful

    + Strong multitasking and deadline management skills

    + Clear communication for both technical and leadership audiences

    + Experience working with external tax advisors

    + CPA preferred
