    Description

    Robert Half is currently seeking a part time Accounting Clerk in Secaucus, NJ.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Accurately receive, record, and disburse client funds.

    + Manage residential client accounts, including processing all cash-related transactions like disbursement requests.

    + Prepare and process weekly transactions for three separate bank accounts

    + detailed records for client fees, house fees, deposits, copayments, fundraisers, and other transactions.

    + Perform monthly reconciliation of checking accounts.

    + Conduct monthly calculations for meals billing for vendor clients.

    + Track and collect client fees and house fees, ensuring accurate records for each resident.

    + Resolve outstanding financial issues, including client past-due accounts.

    + Manage welfare cases, distribute funds, and obtain signatures during client discharge procedures.

    + Provide additional support to the Finance Department as assigned.

    Required Education and Experience:

    + Associate’s degree or college coursework in business, finance, or accounting.

    + 1-3 years of experience in banking, cash handling, or a similar financial environment.

    + Basic understanding of financial principles, bookkeeping, and accounting.

    + Previous experience working with the population served is preferred.

    + Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

    + High accuracy working with numbers and reconciling accounts.

    + Strong attention to detail.

    + Proficiency in creating and editing Excel spreadsheets.

    + Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with clients in a sensitive manner.

    + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    + Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
