• Staff Accountant

    Description

    Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to support their accounting functions and ensure accurate financial reporting. As a critical team member, you will assist in maintaining the general ledger, preparing reconciliations, and supporting month-end close processes.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Prepare journal entries and help maintain the general ledger.

    + Reconcile accounts such as bank statements, credit cards, and payroll, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.

    + Assist with the month-end and year-end close process, including accrual entries and financial reporting.

    + Analyze financial data and create reports for leadership, identifying trends and variances.

    + Track and manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and other records.

    + Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring accurate coding and timely payment processing.

    + Collaborate closely with teams across departments to support audits and annual budgeting processes.

    + Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.

    Requirements

    + 2+ years of accounting experience in industries such as construction, real estate, healthcare, nonprofit, or manufacturing

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or working toward certification preferred

    + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle NetSuite). Knowledge of compliance reporting and financial software is advantageous

    + Demonstrated ability to analyze data and prepare accurate reconciliations and reports under tight deadlines.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
