Description

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our clients team on a contract basis in Walnut Creek, California. In this role, you will provide essential support to the Accounting Department, ensuring accurate processing of invoices and payments while maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a quiet and focused work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable for multiple entities and vendors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Audit invoices against purchase orders, investigate discrepancies, and resolve vendor payment issues.

• Utilize accounting software, including Yardi, to manage accounts payable functions efficiently.

• Enter payables for various properties and ensure proper coding of invoices.

• Handle payment processing duties while adhering to organizational procedures and deadlines.

• Provide assistance to employees, vendors, and clients by answering inquiries related to accounts and processes.

• Analyze workflow processes to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing vendors.

• Ensure prompt and accurate payment of bills and payroll in compliance with departmental policies.

• Perform account maintenance, record accounting entries, and reconcile books to ensure accuracy.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and coding.

• Proficiency in data entry with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with accounting software, with experience in Yardi being a plus.

• Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial recordkeeping.

• Ability to work in a quiet, focused environment with minimal supervision.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing financial data.

• Effective communication skills to handle vendor and employee inquiries.

• Comfortable working in a manual accounting environment with a variety of tasks.
