    Pay Range: $30–$35/hour (depending on experience)

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to support food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance in our fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in food science, quality systems, and a passion for continuous improvement. The Assistant QA Manager will help maintain high standards of product safety, traceability, and documentation while supporting audits and inspections.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Maintain and organize program documentation, including formulas, product specifications, Certificates of Analysis (CoAs), production records, and labeling materials.

    + Oversee testing and documentation for incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods, ensuring accurate sample preparation and retention.

    + Participate in Food Safety and QA committees (HACCP, SQF, GMP) and assist in the development and enforcement of quality protocols.

    + Respond to document requests from internal teams and customers with a high level of professionalism and accuracy.

    + Support traceability and recall procedures, including conducting mock recalls and tracking outcomes.

    + Coordinate with the QA Manager to review production data, daily run sheets, and lab results.

    + Assist with internal QA audits and prepare for third-party or regulatory audits (e.g., SQF, FDA, Kosher, Organic).

    + Ensure adherence to all sanitation and quality standards through facility inspections and cross-functional collaboration.

    + Supervise Pest Control, Security, and Sanitation staff as needed.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance or food safety in a manufacturing environment.

    + Strong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, and regulatory compliance.

    + Knowledge of SQF, Kosher, Organic, and FDA requirements preferred.

    + Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills.

    + Comfortable working in high-temperature, noisy environments with physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, kneeling, and extended standing.
