Description
Our client, a leading organization in San Diego, CA is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Service Desk Representative to join their team. In this critical role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting technical issues, providing exceptional support, and ensuring seamless operations. Key Responsibilities:
+ Respond to user inquiries regarding software, hardware, or network-related issues via phone, email, or help desk ticketing system.
+ Diagnose and resolve basic technical problems, escalating complex issues to higher-level support as needed.
+ Provide guidance to end-users on proper use of systems and software applications.
+ Document all issues, requests, and resolutions in the help desk system to ensure an accurate record of system activity.
+ Actively track and monitor system performance and promptly report any outages or service disruptions.
+ Work closely with IT teams to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
+ Assist in creating and maintaining user guides and other support materials to enhance end-user knowledge.
Requirements
+ 1-2 years of experience in a service desk, IT support, or technical customer service role.
+ High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.
+ Basic knowledge of Windows/Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and help desk ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira).
+ Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and calmly.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
+ Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
+ CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals, or related certifications are a bonus.
