Description

We are looking for an experienced Director of Reimbursements to oversee and coordinate essential financial operations related to net patient revenue. This role requires a strong background in accounting, reimbursement processes, and compliance audits in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to analyze financial data, manage reporting requirements, and ensure accuracy in all aspects of revenue cycle management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the monthly computation of contractual allowances and bad debt for net patient revenue reporting.

• Coordinate all components of monthly revenue activities to ensure accurate representation of net patient revenue.

• Manage and prepare for both internal and external compliance audits related to patient revenue.

• Analyze patient account data to confirm accurate contractual allowances and ensure proper revenue accrual.

• Collaborate with the revenue cycle division to address accounting and reimbursement needs, applying judgment and analytical techniques.

• Ensure net patient accounts receivable and third-party reserves are calculated and recorded accurately.

• Reconcile and monitor reimbursement balance sheet accounts, including Due to Third Party accounts.

• Partner with external consultants to oversee cost report filings and resolve appeals.

• Coordinate reimbursement audits conducted by Medicare and third-party auditors, preparing federal appeal position papers as necessary.

• Develop and maintain financial models to support the annual operating budget for net patient revenue.

Requirements • Extensive experience with accounting software systems, including Epic and EHR systems.

• Strong knowledge of reimbursement processes and compliance audit preparation.

• Proficiency in accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) management.

• Ability to analyze and apply complex financial data for accurate reporting.

• Skilled in computerized billing systems and financial services tools such as ADP.

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills for managing multiple vendors and reporting requirements.

• Proven ability to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost efficiency.

• Experience preparing documentation for reimbursement audits and cost report appeals.
