    Description

    Robert Half Financial Services are hiring for a Private Equity & Credit Accountant role for a global Investment firm located in midtown Manhattan New York. Our client requires 3+ years Fund or Corporate Accounting experience within Private Equity, Credit, Fund Administration or Big4/Public covering Asset Management clients. CPA license or parts passed is highly desirable, must have knowledge of NAV, Capital Calls, Waterfalls, GAAP, month end close, journal entries and reconciliations. The role requires 5 days per week in the midtown Manhattan office.

    Responsibilities:

    + Perform Fund Accounting duties such as NAV, capital calls, waterfalls, distributions and management fees.

    + Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analyses.

    + Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.

    + Utilize accounting ERP to manage accounting operations and generate financial reports.

    + Assist with day-to-day Accounts Payable processes, which include vendors bills, credit card expenses, and employee expense reimbursements.

    + Assist in audits, both internal and external, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.

    + Contribute to process improvements and automation of accounting tasks where possible.

    + Ensure compliance with existing agreements, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + 3+ years Fund or Corporate Accounting experience within Private Equity, Credit, Fund Administration or Big4/Public covering Asset Management clients

    + Knowledge of NAV, Capital Calls, Waterfalls, GAAP, month end close, journal entries and reconciliations

    + CPA license or parts passed is highly desirable

    + Bachelor Degree in Accounting

     

    The Private Equity & Credit Accountant role requires 5 days per week in the midtown Manhattan office, so please only apply if you are able to travel to this location, have relevant experience for the role and are eligible to work in the United States.
