Description

We are looking for a skilled Cash Application Specialist for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate cash application, and maintaining efficient workflows. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting systems and processes to support the organization’s financial operations. This is a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Process and apply incoming payments accurately to ensure proper allocation within accounting systems.

• Reconcile accounts receivable records and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Utilize software tools such as Epic Systems and CyberSource to manage cash application workflows.

• Monitor and record all cash activity, including Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.

• Collaborate with the billing team to streamline invoicing and payment processes.

• Maintain compliance with company policies and financial regulations during cash application procedures.

• Generate detailed reports on cash activity and accounts receivable for internal stakeholders.

• Assist in optimizing accounting software systems to improve operational efficiency.

• Support data processing tasks related to cash application and financial reporting.

• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance cash management strategies.

Requirements

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Epic Software.

• Hands-on experience with CyberSource and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.

• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and cash application processes.

• Familiarity with data processing and financial reporting techniques.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.

• Ability to work collaboratively across teams, including billing and accounting functions.

• Effective problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and improve workflows.

• Knowledge of financial compliance regulations and procedures.
