Our client in San Diego, CA is hiring an Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to manage vendor payments and ensure smooth financial operations within the fast-paced construction industry. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed work and is looking to grow within a supportive team setting.

Responsibilities

+ Performing high-volume invoice processing; ensuring accuracy with purchase orders and company policies.

+ Reconciling vendor accounts and resolving discrepancies proactively.

+ Assisting in managing vendor payment schedules, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks.

+ Preparing reports on outstanding invoices and payment trends for management review.

+ Supporting expense tracking and job costing functions, collaborating with project managers as needed.

+ Providing assistance with month-end close tasks and compliance audits.

Requirements

+ 3+ years of AP experience, preferably in the construction or similar industries.

+ Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems.

+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

+ Knowledge of accounts payable best practices, including vendor compliance and reconciliation.

+ Excellent communication skills for engaging with vendors and internal teams.
