Job Description:

This is a professional services position with work in providing comprehensive research, evaluation, planning, and analysis services to the Maine Department of Transportation. Responsibilities include performing complex planning, research, and analysis to be used in policy development and transportation project, program, and long­-range planning and decision-making, as well as project management and planning. Supervision may be exercised over a team of planners, technicians, and/or consultants on a project basis. Work is performed with limited supervision.

This position assists in providing leadership and capacity-building for Maine's public transportation network, oversees the daily functions of Transit Planning and Administration staff, and assists with employee and program development. The position provides Federal Transit Administration grants management oversight including preparation of applications, reporting, sub-recipient agreement preparation and monitoring, invoice management, and compliance review preparation and close-out.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

An eight (8) year combination of education, training, and/or experience in planning and program development with specific background in specialized field as necessary (i.e. transportation planning).
