Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the heart of WEST DES MOINES, Iowa. This role falls within the accounting industry and is situated in a dynamic and fast-paced workspace. As a Staff Accountant, you will be expected to deliver high-quality client service, manage tasks efficiently, and contribute to our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handle tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Regularly communicate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including clients and partners

• Maintain and update fixed asset schedules with precision

• Analyze and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date

• Record activity from brokerage account statements with attention to detail

• Prepare a trial balance from bank statement activity

• Efficiently handle payroll taxes and sales tax duties

• Collaborate effectively within the team to ensure high standard of service delivery

• Create financial statements and perform general bookkeeping tasks

• Contribute to meeting revenue targets through efficient management of tasks and deadlines Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations.

• Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance.

• Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries.

• Experience in performing Month End Close procedures.

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
