Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Energy engineer to join us for a yearlong contract-to-permanent employment opportunity in Santa Clara, California. This Energy Engineer role is within the service industry and focuses on supporting major customer accounts, managing energy efficiency projects, and providing customer education in energy services.
Responsibilities for the Energy Engineer Include:
+ Evaluate the technical merits of business customer energy efficiency applications.
+ Calculate energy savings and verify equipment specifications to ensure compliance with program requirements.
+ The Energy Engineer will conduct customer site inspections to verify the installation and operational status of energy-efficient equipment at commercial and industrial locations.
+ The Energy Engineer will develop detailed requests for proposals (RFPs) to support energy efficiency projects, ensuring they meet technical and financial criteria.
+ Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding installed equipment or program information.
+ Provide clear and detail-oriented communication to facilitate a positive customer experience.
+ The Energy Engineer will conduct presentations and outreach activities to inform customers and the community about energy efficiency incentive programs and offerings.
+ The Energy engineer will support the management of databases related to energy efficiency projects, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of information.

Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, energy management, or a related field.
+ Experience with energy efficiency calculations.
+ Proven experience in energy efficiency, project management, or a related area.
+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to conduct technical reviews and site inspections. Proficiency in developing RFPs and energy reports.
+ Experience with database management and reporting. Knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and practices is preferred.
+ Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for site inspections and outreach activities.
+ Experience with BFD Audits & Inspections and proposal writing, audit verification
