    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Fresno County. This long-term contract role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and financial analysis. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.

    • Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to maintain up-to-date financial records.

    • Generate financial statements and reports using integrated accounting systems.

    • Compile and analyze monthly expense reports by cost center to provide clear insights into spending trends.

    • Research and interpret financial data to address accounting-related inquiries.

    • Evaluate financial results, comparing them to forecasts and historical trends to identify key variances.

    • Reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure consistency and accuracy across accounts.

     

    Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related role.

     

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis and reporting.

    • Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger management.

    • Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements with a high level of accuracy.

    • Excellent analytical skills to identify variances and trends in financial data.

    • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
