Description

We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist for a client on a contract basis in Bellevue, Washington. This role involves managing accounts receivable processes, analyzing credit data, and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, organization, and possess a strong understanding of collection procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Review and manage aging reports to ensure timely collection of past-due accounts.

• Analyze credit data and financial information to assess creditworthiness and establish appropriate credit lines and payment terms.

• Monitor and release orders based on credit evaluations and approvals.

• Communicate effectively with sales teams regarding collection challenges and account updates.

• Process credit card payments and resolve billing discrepancies as needed.

• Generate and present monthly reports detailing collection activities and accounts receivable status.

• Maintain an assigned portfolio of accounts with a rolling 12-month sales value of approximately $85M.

• Utilize various communication channels to interact with internal stakeholders and external customers.

• Support process automation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the credit and collections team.

Requirements • Proven experience in high-volume collections and accounts receivable management.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various teams and clients.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

• Experience with accounting software such as GreatPlains, Power BI, and CRM tools.

• Knowledge of billing functions, claim administration, and collection processes.

• Ability to resolve customer credit and billing issues promptly and professionally.

• Familiarity with process automation tools and techniques is a plus.
