    Overview SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) join our team in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu, Hawaii. The customer based out of Honolulu, Hawaii creates, manages, and supports IT solutions for USINDOPACOM, its mission and its 5,000+ customers throughout the Pacific theater. Our team solves challenging technical problems that enable USINDOPACOM to realize critical and time sensitive C2 strategies. Essential Job Duties As a DBA, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining database systems, as well as implementing automation solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability. This role ensures compliance with DoD standards and supports continuous database performance and security. Design, implement, and maintain database systems to support various applications and services. Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline database management tasks. Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required. Ensure database security and compliance with DoD 8140, DoD 8570.1, and DCWF standards. Collaborate with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to ensure database integrity and security. Perform regular database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner. Document database configurations, procedures, and policies. Generate reports and metrics upon request Assist in the analysis, design, development, testing, encoding, integration, documentation, installation, operation, evaluation, maintenance, and improvement of MPE-ES Team Support the implementation, documentation, exercise demonstrations or analysis of new or existing capabilities, and/or creation, review and presentation of technical reports and briefings Based on Government-specified requirements, analyze, design, develop, test, encode, integrate, document, install, operate, evaluate, maintain, and improve MPE-ES capabilities Interface with team leads and team members to collect, develop, document, and submit status updates via a Weekly Activity Report (WAR) Participates in special projects and tasks as required. Minimum Requirements Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent years of experience) AND a minimum of four (4) to six (6) years of related experience in database administration. DOD 8570.01 compliant at IAT level II (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) or higher is required. Strong understanding of database management systems (DBMS) and database security practices. Experience with automation tools and scripting languages. Knowledge of DoD 8140, DoD 8570.1, and DCWF standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing requirements Ability to effectively communicate technical as well as non-technical information, both orally and in writing Place emphasis on teamwork and work well in a team-oriented environment Preferred Qualifications Advanced understanding of DoD Zero Trust guidance and the principles of Data Centric Security. DOD 8570.01 compliant at IAT level III Expert level experience with automation tools and scripting languages. Work Environment Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends.
