Description We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to support a litigation firm in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is a Contract position, offering an opportunity to work in a collaborative and dynamic legal environment. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are properly stored and accessible.

• Manage attorney schedules, including calendar updates and coordination of meetings and deadlines.

• Assist in drafting and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and reports.

• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties to gather information or provide updates.

• Monitor case progress, ensuring all necessary actions are completed in a timely manner.

• Utilize case management software to track and manage case details and deadlines.

• Support attorneys during the preparation of court filings or hearings.

• Conduct basic research to assist with case preparation and analysis.

• Handle claim administration tasks and ensure compliance with legal procedures. Requirements • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in civil litigation.

• Proficiency in case management software and related legal tools.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.

• Familiarity with calendar management and scheduling tools.
