Description
We are looking for a skilled Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is a long-term contract role that involves providing high-level analytical and technical support to optimize real estate asset performance. If you have a strong background in financial analysis and are passionate about real estate, this position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative team.
Responsibilities:
• Review, analyze, and input construction, marketing, and leasing reports, while assisting with equity disbursements when required.
• Conduct financial analysis for property stabilization and prepare detailed credit adjuster reports.
• Perform compliance audits, property site visits, and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
• Analyze quarterly and annual operational performance, including financial data, tax returns, and audits.
• Collaborate on annual budget preparation by gathering, reviewing, and entering accurate data.
• Support asset management functions through documentation reviews, market trend analysis, and site inspections.
• Coordinate due diligence efforts for acquisitions, asset management, and property disposition projects.
• Audit lease agreements and property-related contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor construction projects through third-party consultants, tracking progress, quality, and timeliness.
• Maintain and update databases with financial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems such as Yardi and Real Page.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in real estate finance, economics, business, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong financial acumen with proven analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to manage and prioritize both short-term and long-term projects effectively.
• Proficiency with Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in real estate, asset management, or property management is preferred.
• Knowledge of Section 42 regulations, real estate syndication, and multifamily property operations is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, CRM tools, and data mining techniques is highly desirable.
