Description We are looking for a dedicated LIHTC Leasing Specialist to join our team in Oakland, California. As part of the property management industry, this long-term contract role involves managing leasing activities, tenant relations, rent collection, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will excel in fostering positive community relations while maintaining the property’s standards and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Market and lease residential units, ensuring compliance with LIHTC eligibility guidelines and maintaining accurate waiting lists.

• Oversee all aspects of tenant move-ins and move-outs, including lease agreements, inspections, and eviction processes.

• Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly, fostering a welcoming and supportive residential community.

• Collect rent payments, issue rent increase notices, and manage delinquent accounts in collaboration with the property supervisor.

• Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, ensuring the property is clean, secure, and well-maintained.

• Conduct regular inspections, oversee preventive maintenance schedules, and manage vendor contracts.

• Supervise on-site staff, enforce lease terms, and handle day-to-day office operations effectively.

• Prepare and monitor budgets, financial reports, and other required documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory timelines.

• Respond to emergencies and provide tenant support, maintaining strong relationships with residents and the community.

• Perform additional duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the property. Requirements • Proven experience in leasing, tenant relations, and property management, preferably in LIHTC properties.

• Strong proficiency in administrative tasks and computer applications, including Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to type between 45-60 words per minute with accuracy.

• Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on building positive tenant relationships.

• Conversational proficiency in Spanish, including reading, writing, and conducting business interactions.

• Familiarity with legal procedures related to rent collection, lease agreements, and tenant compliance.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
