Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting critical accounting functions. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with experience in bookkeeping and financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Reconcile bank accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial records.

• Manage fixed asset ledgers, including depreciation schedules and reconciliations.

• Generate monthly balance sheet and income statement reports for management review.

• Assist in preparing financial close workbooks for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.

• Perform detailed account reconciliations for balance sheet items during month-end processes.

• Maintain organized records for accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Support payroll-related accounting tasks and ensure compliance with deadlines.

• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.

• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and efficiency. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.

• Strong experience with bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Familiarity with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.

• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to meet critical deadlines while maintaining quality work.

• Experience in maintaining fixed asset records and performing depreciation calculations.

• Understanding of general ledger and financial reporting processes.
