Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization in Houston, Texas. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance, and strategic allocation of resources. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in accounting and a proven ability to handle complex financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

• Lead monthly and annual financial closings, ensuring timely and precise reporting.

• Manage all intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliation of balances.

• Oversee and balance intercompany payables and receivables to maintain financial accuracy.

• Allocate shared costs and expenses across departments or entities.

• Collaborate with the 401K provider to manage profit-sharing contributions and 401K matching.

• File and fund state sales tax obligations on a monthly basis, ensuring compliance with regulations.

• Prepare and submit property tax returns, managing all related payments and filings.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management.

• Strong expertise in preparing financial statements and overseeing financial close processes.

• Hands-on experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliation.

• Proficiency in managing tax filings, including sales and property taxes.

• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple financial priorities.
