    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented part time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable adapting to evolving processes. The role requires strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing financial transactions while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This position offers a flexible, 30 hour a week schedule.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process and review expense reports, ensuring accurate approvals and timely reimbursement.

    • Handle incoming invoices via both electronic systems and mail, maintaining proper documentation and organization.

    • Manage the accounts payable inbox, overseeing digital invoice submissions and addressing inquiries.

    • Conduct regular check runs, ensuring payments are completed efficiently and accurately.

    • Match invoices with purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

    • Contributing insights and ideas to streamline processes.

    • Adapt to changing workflows and assist in the implementation of new procedures.

    • Utilize accounting software tools, including NetSuite and bill.com, to optimize financial operations.

    • Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

    • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations within the accounting department.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and expense report management.

    • Familiarity with accounting software systems, such as NetSuite and bill.com.

    • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and accounting principles.

    • Proficiency in handling automated clearing house (ACH) payments.

    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

    • Ability to adapt to new systems and workflows during transitional periods.

    • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.

    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and vendors.
